Terms and conditions for using our website and services

1. Who we are

H2O Exterior Cleaning provides exterior cleaning services including:

  • Driveway cleaning and sealing
  • Patio cleaning and grouting
  • Roof cleaning and moss removal
  • Gutter cleaning and repairs
  • Render cleaning
  • Solar panel cleaning

2. Website use

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Attempt to access the site unlawfully or disrupt it
  • Upload or send malicious code
  • Copy website content for commercial use without permission

We can update or remove website content at any time.

3. Quotes and bookings

  • Quotes can be given by phone, message, email, or after a site visit.
  • Unless we say otherwise, quotes are valid for 30 days.
  • A booking is confirmed when we agree a date/time with you (in writing where possible).
  • If we discover something that changes the scope (for example unexpected heavy staining, unsafe roof access, damaged gutters), we'll explain and agree any revised price before continuing.

4. Pricing and payment

  • Prices are as agreed in the quote/booking confirmation.
  • Payment terms: Due on completion
  • If invoices aren't paid on time, we may charge reasonable late payment costs and/or pause future work.

5. Cancellations and rescheduling

  • We get it, plans change. Please give at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
  • If you cancel late, or no one is available to provide access at the agreed time, we may charge a call-out fee to cover travel/time.

Consumer cancellation rights (distance/off-premises)

If you booked our services at a distance (online/phone) you may have a 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. If you ask us to start work within that 14-day period, you may be asked to confirm that request. If you later cancel after work has started, you may need to pay for the work already completed.

6. Access, utilities, and customer responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide safe and reasonable access to the work area
  • Tell us about known hazards (fragile surfaces, loose tiles, unsafe electrics, aggressive pets, etc.)
  • Ensure we can use a water supply and, if needed, an outdoor power supply
  • Move vehicles and personal items as requested before we arrive

If access or conditions prevent us from completing the work, we may need to reschedule and/or charge for time spent.

7. Weather and safety

Exterior cleaning is weather-dependent. For safety and quality, we may delay or reschedule due to heavy rain, high winds, freezing temperatures, or other unsafe conditions. If that happens, we'll offer the next reasonable date.

8. Staining, wear, and results

We'll use appropriate methods and products, but you understand:

  • Some stains or discolouration may not be fully removable
  • Older surfaces can reveal wear once dirt is removed (for example patchy concrete, faded render, worn block paving)
  • Roof growth removal can improve appearance, but final results can vary depending on roof age and condition

We'll always aim to set expectations clearly before starting.

9. Damage and liability

We take care, but the real world is messy.

  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden defects, or issues caused by poor maintenance (for example cracked pointing, fragile tiles, degraded seals, weakened gutter joints)
  • We are not responsible for issues caused by third parties or events outside our control

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded under UK law.

If something goes wrong that is our fault, our liability is limited to putting it right or refunding the cost of the affected part of the service, unless the law says otherwise.

10. Complaints

If you're unhappy, please contact us as soon as possible (ideally within 7 days of the work). We'll review what happened and, where appropriate, arrange a revisit or other remedy.

11. Photos and marketing

We may take before/after photos for records and quality control. If we want to use photos for marketing (website or social media) and the property could be identifiable, we'll ask first.

12. Intellectual property

All website content (text, images, branding) belongs to H2O Exterior Cleaning or our licensors. You may not reuse it without permission.

13. Links to other websites

Our site may link to third-party websites (for example review platforms). We're not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

14. Privacy

Any personal data we collect is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
